Tommy's Travels

This is a site designed to share the experiences of my travels around the world. Through this site I hope to inspire others to travel and view for themselves the fascinating world that is out there.

Since 1999 I have traveled to over 30 countries across five continents. Many of these trips were short treks with friends to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the work world. Many trips were getaways with my wife, Meredith, who also shares my passion for travel. Most recently I took a 5 month leave of absence from my job and set out on my own round-the-world journey.

In all of these trips I have not only learned a lot about other people and their cultures, but additionally I have learned a great deal about myself.

Throughout this site, you will see pictures from places I have been around the world. I will also relate some of my most memorable moments in each of these places. I'll try to stay away from the traditional travel stories about tourist sites and relate the stories that were more personal to me. Additionally, I will also share some of my favorite links and travel resources that have helped and inspired many of my trips.

Additionally look for articles, short stories and writings by my good friend, Dave Brown, scattered throughout the site.

Don't forget to sign my guestbook (bottom of the page).

Happy Travels!

Tommy's Next Destination: Russia, Latvia, and Estonia

In May, my wife and I are heading to Russia, Latvia and Estonia with our friends Greg, Jen, Dave and Brian.

To be perfectly honest...I've been a little out of the loop on the planning, but based on the little bits of information I have received, it should be a good time. Hopefully Russia snaps out of it's deep freeze that seems to have embraced Moscow this winter. Not that it will be 20 degrees below zero in May, but it will still be quite chilly....especially coming from Puerto Rico.
